Tita Ritsema PhD has 30 years' academic and biotech experience as Researcher, R&D Lead and Program Lead.  As Drug Development Consultant, Tita founded titaco, a company consulting in early medicine development.
Tita was Head of R&D at ProQR Therapeutics, where she led the development of their first product, an inhaled oligonucleotide for the treatment of Cystic Fibrosis, including first clinical tests.  As VP of Non-Clinical Research and Development, she directed the search for lead product candidates and made them IND-ready.  Tita was also Program Lead for the development of an oligonucleotide for the treatment of Epidermolysis Bullosa, which after clinical trials was spun out as the company ‘Wings’.
Tita was Project Manager at Amsterdam Molecular Therapeutics (AMT, later ‘uniQure’), responsible for leading the preclinical phase of a series of drug development programmes.  Prior to AMT, Tita was an international Academic Researcher with multiple publications, grants, and headlining talks.
